About the Location

Palaio Faliro, with a population of 64,000 inhabitants, is one of the most modern areas of the capital with numberless influences from different cultures. However, its history dates back to the ancient times. Nowadays, located within eight kilometers from the center of Athens, the recently rebuilt Marina Flisvou is the first high standard marina in Greece with the ability to serve a large number of mega-yachts and the home to a number of restaurants, café, bars that are daily full of people of all ages who enjoy the view of the boats and Kastella in the background, as Piraeus is only 7 km away. Only a few meters away is located the park of Floisvos, a lush green area full of playgrounds, paths for walking and of course an open-air cinema for romantic summer nights. On the way to Piraeus at the “Delta” of Palaio Faliro you will find one of the most famous movie theaters of Athens, the Air Force History Museum, and the 2004 Tae Kwon Do Olympic Indoor Gym, which now hosts a variety of events. It would be impossible to miss the chance to mention the most vivid part of the modern history of the Greek Navy - the battleship Averoff that now functions as a floating museum. One of the biggest advantages of living in Palaio Faliro is that within a few minutes’ walk you can reach one of the beaches of this area (Mpatis, Flisvos, Edem) - and that appears to be a big deal for the lovers of the sea.
