Project Engineer (Mid–Senior Level) – Project Management

About the Role

The successful candidate will take an active role in the planning, coordination, and delivery of construction and fit-out projects across all project phases, from design development and procurement through construction and handover.


Working closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders, the Project Engineer will support project leadership, ensure effective project execution, and contribute to achieving project objectives related to scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk management.


This position is ideal for a construction professional with experience in project delivery who is looking to further develop their career in Project Management within the construction and real estate sector.

 




Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate project activities throughout all project phases, ensuring alignment with project objectives, budgets, and schedules.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify potential risks, delays, and issues, proposing and implementing corrective actions when required.
  • Review and coordinate architectural, structural, MEP, and other technical documentation to ensure completeness, constructability, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Prepare, update, and maintain project schedules using MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar planning tools.
  • Support procurement and tendering processes, including preparation of tender documentation, bid evaluations, contractor selection, and contract administration.
  • Coordinate and manage consultants, contractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
  • Monitor project costs, variations, procurement activities, and cash flow, supporting effective budget management and cost control.
  • Conduct regular project meetings and prepare progress reports, meeting minutes, presentations, and project documentation.
  • Perform site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, quality standards, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications.
  • Assist in the management of change orders, technical queries, and project communications.
  • Support project managers in the delivery of multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring consistency in project management processes and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, quality standards, health and safety requirements, and company procedures.



Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5–10 years of professional experience in construction, engineering, project management, or development projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project delivery processes, and technical documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and contractors.
  • Experience in project planning, scheduling, cost control, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project scheduling software such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, BIM platforms, and document management systems is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in Greek and excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in project management consulting, construction management, real estate development, or fit-out projects.
  • Professional certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, PM², or equivalent) is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of FIDIC or other standard construction contracts.
  • Experience delivering hospitality, commercial, residential, mixed-use, or industrial projects.
  • Understanding of budgeting, risk management, and project governance principles.
  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
