Traditional style villa in Zakynthos
Traditional 6 bedroom villa, located on the hillside above the port of Saint Nikolas.
This magical villa is set into the hillside allowing access to both the ground and first floors from the outside with sweeping views, through olive trees, over the Ionian sea, towards mainland Greece, Kefalonia, and Ithaca. An ample parking area gives way to the lower pool terrace (with sunbeds, shower and shaded pool-house) and a ground floor level terrace with seating, tables and table tennis table (also shaded). This space can also be used for yoga/ fitness/ creative activities. Through the entrance doors is the spacious living area (with TV, DVD, HiFi system, Ipod dock, board games, drinks fridge and sink) and three sets of French doors onto a large terrace. On this level, off the living area, is the laundry room with washing machine and dryer, and 4 of the 6 bedrooms:

Bedroom 6 - twin bed, en-suite shower with separate outside access and private terrace. This bedroom can accommodate an extra 1/2 children/ young person(s) if needed.
The upper terrace features a large open-plan kitchen, seating area and inside dining area with windows and fantastic views on three sides. In cooler weather, a wood-burning stove is situated in the kitchen. Two sets of French windows open onto the large rear terrace with table and seating for 18+ and a large built in BBQ. This terrace is bamboo shaded and gives access to the two main bedrooms:

All bedrooms and the main open plan room have air-con and heating.
The surrounding area is filled with beautiful beaches (mainly pebble) and a handful of great restaurants and bars. The picturesque little fishing port of Agios Nikolaos is 2 km away which offers a small selection of local amenities and trips to the famous Shipwreck Cove and Blue Caves. It is also the location of the Kefalonia ferry crossing.
Zakynthos is the most southern of the Ionian Islands and one of the most popular Greek islands. The island has three distinct geographical areas: the northwest is mountainous with quaint traditional mountain villages, the central region is a fertile plain rich with olive groves and vineyards and the southeast is characterised by beautiful beaches. Rich in beauty and tradition, both historical and cultural, Zakynthos, or Zante as it is also called, is the "ideal" of any traveller.
